#givingtuesday - Visit to Jelf
4th December 2017
20 Trainees from CASE had an amazing opportunity to visit Jelf Insurance on Wednesday 29 November, in aid of #GivingTuesday.
Trainees were split into groups for a tour of the building, consisting of three floors, which gave the trainees an insight into the types of activities carried out by each department. Raffle tickets were sold whilst the trainees were being shown around and introduced to the staff at Jelf.
Steve Rusling, Marketing Manager at CASE said; “I was so happy to see the trainees enjoying themselves and they really appreciated the chance to see how a real working environment operates”.
The buffet, courtesy of Jelf Insurance, was a great way to bring everyone together before the craft stall opened for business. The trainees were excited to showcase the crafts they had been working so hard on over the past few months, with all proceeds going to CASE. There were a wonderful array of crafts available to purchase including: cushions, aprons and cards. Shortly after, the raffle was drawn which included champagne, biscuits and chocolates.
Paul Salisbury, Account Executive for Jelf Insurance and Caroline Fannon, Account Handler for Jelf Insurance, played a huge part in making the day so special for everyone involved. Mr Salisbury, said; “I had a great time showing the trainees around on our tour. They were especially excited to see the pictures of fires, floods and car accidents we had to show them, to illustrate how we would handle those situations”.
#GivingTuesday launched for the first time in 2014 and has since then gone on to become one of the biggest dates of the year for charities in over 70 countries. It is a chance for both individuals and organisations to support a charity of their choice in any which way they desire.
Both staff and trainees at CASE are extremely grateful to Jelf Insurance for choosing CASE as their charity to support this year.
