Kaja Hull joined CASE Training straight from school in 2022. From the moment she arrived, her strength of character was clear. A determined, independent young woman with a warm, empathetic nature, Kaja has always faced life’s challenges head-on. Her resilience has been present since birth, and she continues to carry that fighting spirit into adulthood.

Skill Development and Progress

Despite English being her second language, Kaja arrived at CASE with a GCSE in English already under her belt. Her passion for storytelling and written expression has allowed her to further develop her language skills during her time here. She has shown great commitment in completing her work and taking on new challenges in the English department.

Maths, however, was a different story. It was a subject Kaja found difficult and anxiety-inducing at first. Initially hesitant in group settings and overwhelmed by the content, she steadily grew in confidence and even began requesting additional work to take home. Her perseverance paid off—Kaja proudly achieved a Functional Skills qualification in Maths, demonstrating just how far she had come.

In addition to her academic progress, Kaja also earned a qualification in Employability, helping to lay the foundations for her career ambitions. She has gained valuable life and social skills through her involvement in a range of departments at CASE, including English, Maths, Independent Living Skills, and Discovery.

Impact and future goals

From the outset, Kaja was determined to progress beyond CASE and further her education. She is currently exploring three course options at Hull College, all of which will support her in reaching her ultimate goal: to become a Teaching Assistant.

Her ambition, combined with the skills and confidence she’s developed at CASE, makes this next step a natural one in her journey.
