CASE Gala Dinner 2017
19th October 2017
The Three Degrees performed live in aid of CASE at this year’s Gala Dinner on 14 October 2017 at The Mercure Grange Park Hotel in Willerby. It was an unforgettable night of fun and entertainment as the guests were whisked away to the bright lights of Las Vegas.
The venue was stunning, decorated with a tall martini glass on every table, filled with aqua beads and large feathers. The casino table really added to the glitz and glamour of the evening with five lucky guests winning the top prizes. The silent auction and raffle added to the excitement in the air, as guests waited in eager anticipation for the winners to be announced. There were many wonderful prizes up for grabs, including: a family pass to The Deep, a meal for two voucher at The Apollo and a £100 voucher for Slaters.
The guests also enjoyed a delicious three course meal before performances from the Northern Academy of Performing Arts which included an impressive rendition of Adele’s Skyfall and Marilyn Monroe’s ‘Diamonds are a girl’s best friend’.
The Three Degrees who are well known for their soulful voices, beautiful gowns, and fabulous stage shows did not disappoint with guests treated to some of The Three Degrees’ greatest hits including ‘When Will I See You Again’ and ‘Take Good Care Of Yourself’.
CASE is a hull-based charity, which support adults living with learning disabilities. It was founded in 1985 by parents and carers of people with a learning disability, to offer its trainees the chance to develop their independence through learning life skills. Many local organisations such as The Deep and Harris, Lacey and Swain came together to support the fundraising event through sponsorship or by donating prizes.
Steve Rusling, Marketing Manager, says he is already looking forward to planning the 2018 Gala Dinner: “We had an impressive turnout this year and everyone had a great time. Next year we’re going to make it bigger and better”.
