Hijinx theatre based in Cardiff, Wales offer meaningful training opportunities to both aspiring learning disabled performers and to those who simply want to improve on their life skills.
CASE Trainees will study a variety of skills including clowning, physical theatre and dance, contact improvisation, commedia dell’Arte, acting for camera & radio, forum theatre techniques and mask work, from accomplished tutors who are all active performers too.
Any CASE trainees wanting to take part in the workshops are encouraged to speak to Jackie as soon as possible.
Following a successful run at Summerhall as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2016, Meet Fred will tour extensively in Spring 2017 with multiple performances around Hull.
Meet Fred is described as “a 2ft-tall cloth puppet called Fred who fights prejudice every day. He just wants to be a regular guy, part of the real world, to get a job and meet a girl, but when threatened with losing his PLA (Puppetry Living Allowance), Fred’s life begins to spiral out of his control.”
