The Real Thing: Live in Hull

This year’s annual Gala Dinner was not one to be missed! The Real Thing: Live in Hull at the newly named KCOM Stadium, legendary 70’s soul group The Real Thing performed all of their greatest hits from back in the day, including the classic number 1 hit “You to me are everything”.

The 70’s infused night saw a turnout of well over 200 people, all of which enjoyed a tremendous three course meal and live entertainment before the stars themselves performed their set. With inflatable guitars, 70s wigs, head boppers and all the glow sticks you could imagine, the 70s soul vibe was in full swing and everyone had a fantastic night.

Every year CASE host their annual Gala Dinner to celebrate the charity and all the individuals and businesses who come together to support their efforts. This year’s guests included sponsors Harris, Lacey & Swain and John Roe and members of our Business Support Group Siemans and, MKM and Jelf Insurance Partnership who over the years have supported the charity immensely. Robert Roach from Roach Brothers said “it has been one of the best dinners I have attended in recent years and it was a pleasure to support such a great local charity”.

Also at the event there was a silent auction and raffle, offering prizes from spa treatments to Hull FC hospitality tickets to the lucky winners. All proceeds from the auction and raffle will go straight back into CASE, so that the charity can continue to run and offer the support it does to their trainees.

Steve Rusling organiser of the event and CASE marketing manager described the night as one of the best and hopes to make next year’s annual event even bigger and better.

The event raised in excess of £6,000 for the charity, a record in recent years.
