Volunteer Opportunity: Football Support Worker

Volunteer Football Support Worker needed to help staff at CASE to support adults with a learning disability to play football.

A volunteer Football Support Worker is needed to assist our trainer to enable our service users at CASE (adults with learning disabilities) to participate in competitive football games as part of the Humber NHS football Inclusion League.

The volunteer will be required to play football with the CASE FC football team as well as supporting the wellbeing needs of the service users. These football matches (and practices) are on Thursday mornings off site in locations around the city. Transport will be provided from CASE.

A knowledge of working with individuals with learning disabilities is desirable but training will be made available.

Skill & Qualifications Required

An awareness of learning disabilities and associated conditions is desirable but this is not essential as training will be provided.

A commitment to developing the knowledge, understanding and general well being of our service users.

A full clean (minibus) driving licence is desirable but not essential.

Enthusiasm to play football is necessary. Coaching football is desirable but not essential.
