Our Woodwork Department gives trainees the opportunity to develop practical woodworking skills in a supportive and hands-on environment at the CASE allotment.
Trainees are encouraged to get involved, try new things and develop their abilities at their own pace.
Working with quality timber, trainees learn a range of skills including measuring, assembling and using tools safely to create practical items. Projects can include shelving, bird boxes, wooden planters and a variety of other creative pieces.
Woodwork is about much more than making things. Each project helps trainees to build confidence, independence, creativity and teamwork, while experiencing the pride and sense of achievement that comes from seeing their hard work turn into something they have created themselves.
