Our Photography Group gives trainees the chance to see the world through a new lens – literally. It’s a creative and hands-on programme where adults with learning disabilities can explore photography as both an art form and a practical skill.
In the group, trainees learn how to:
- Use cameras and digital devices to capture images with confidence.
- Learn how to use their mobile phone cameras and explore all their features.
- Explore techniques in composition, lighting, and perspective.
- Develop skills in digital editing and presentation.
- Express ideas, emotions, and creativity through visual storytelling.
- Work on projects that can be shared with families, displayed in exhibitions, or feature on CASE’s social media and in events.
The Photography Group isn’t just about taking pictures – it’s about building confidence, improving communication, and encouraging teamwork. Trainees are supported to experiment, try new approaches, and celebrate their achievements, whether snapping portraits, landscapes, or creative abstract shots.
By combining creativity with technology, the Photography Group offers a fun and inspiring way for our trainees to develop new skills, discover fresh perspectives, and capture moments they can be proud of.
